Why The Anxiety Report?
Why search it all out for yourself? When:
Each story featured on the The Anxiety Report is hand picked, with clarification of medical terms.
Each story will be in plain English, as much as possible. Sometimes medical words or concepts have to be shown by links to trustworthy sources, such as medical dictionaries, like the Medline Plus which the link provides.
Each Research Paper will be filtered out of the massive list of research going on today. And it too will be in as plain English as can be found.
Have you just been diagnosed with an Anxiety Disorder?
Have you gotten any information that helped you understand what’s happening to you?
Have you done internet research? If so you have no doubt found that not only is there information available out there, there is a plethora of information, and about three quarters of it is someone trying to make a buck off of you.
The remaining one quarter of the sites are helpful, providing real information. If you clicked on the link in the first sentence you were taken to the National Institute of Mental Health, which offers you ‘Science News about Anxiety Disorders,’ a complete list of free publications on each disorder, and then a small section called ‘Research.’
Go to this page and tell me, do you have time to read all that? The answer is almost certainly no.
Because if you suffer from any of the five Anxiety Disorders,
- Generalized Anxiety Disorder
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
- Panic Disorder
- Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
- Social Phobia (or Social Anxiety Disorder);
then you have probably have a bunch of questions about the disorders, or have done extensive internet research on the subject of your problem.
The Anxiety Report does this for you.
Each Website listed will be to a site that offers real, and trustworthy advice. As time goes on we hope to also feature reviews of Self Help books and expensive seminars.
